Post Election Prayer: Father God, in the name of Jesus our Savior and in the power of Your Holy Spirit, we pray for those who have been elected to the responsibilities of government in the U.S.: Grant them special graces to lead the nation and help the world through current and future crises. And where they fail to respect and protect life (including the unborn) help us, who are Your hands and feet and voice in the world today, to spread your Kingdom of Love and its moral laws. Mother Mary, pray for us!

Prayer to End Abortion
"Prayer to End Abortion
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!"

USCCB - NAB - Psalm 27: "Psalms
Chapter 27
1
Of David 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom do I fear? The LORD is my life's refuge; of whom am I afraid?
2
2 When evildoers come at me to devour my flesh, These my enemies and foes themselves stumble and fall.
3
Though an army encamp against me, my heart does not fear; Though war be waged against me, even then do I trust.
4
One thing I ask of the LORD; this I seek: To dwell in the LORD'S house all the days of my life, To gaze on the LORD'S beauty, to visit his temple.
5
For God will hide me in his shelter in time of trouble, Will conceal me in the cover of his tent; and set me high upon a rock.
6
Even now my head is held high above my enemies on every side! I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and chant praise to the LORD.
7
Hear my voice, LORD, when I call; have mercy on me and answer me."

Deuteronomy 30:19
"I call on heaven and earth as witnesses today that I have offered you life or death, blessings or curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants will live."
These words were never so true as they are today. Our nation can be turned around, but we need to 'choose life' in this election. Please go vote!

USCCB - NAB - Psalm 22
USCCB - NAB - Psalm 22: "27
8 The poor will eat their fill; those who seek the LORD will offer praise. May your hearts enjoy life forever!'
28
All the ends of the earth will worship and turn to the LORD; All the families of nations will bow low before you.
29
For kingship belongs to the LORD, the ruler over the nations.
30
9 All who sleep in the earth will bow low before God; All who have gone down into the dust will kneel in homage.
31
And I will live for the LORD; my descendants will serve you.
32
The generation to come will be told of the Lord, that they may proclaim to a people yet unborn the deliverance you have brought."

USCCB - NAB - Psalm 131: "Psalms
Chapter 131
1
1 A song of ascents. Of David. LORD, my heart is not proud; nor are my eyes haughty. I do not busy myself with great matters, with things too sublime for me.
2
Rather, I have stilled my soul, hushed it like a weaned child. Like a weaned child on its mother's lap, so is my soul within me.
3
Israel, hope in the LORD, now and forever."

Psalms
Chapter 24
1
1 A psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S and all it holds, the world and those who live there.
2
For God founded it on the seas, established it over the rivers.
3
Who may go up the mountain of the LORD? Who can stand in his holy place?
4
2 "The clean of hand and pure of heart, who are not devoted to idols, who have not sworn falsely.
5
They will receive blessings from the LORD, and justice from their saving God.
6
Such are the people that love the LORD, that seek the face of the God of Jacob." Selah
7
3 Lift up your heads, O gates; rise up, you ancient portals, that the king of glory may enter.
8
Who is this king of glory? The LORD, a mighty warrior, the LORD, mighty in battle.
9
Lift up your heads, O gates; rise up, you ancient portals, that the king of glory may enter.
10
Who is this king of glory? The LORD of hosts is the king of glory. Selah
