I just noticed that they posted the address to the yahoo e-mail list on the bulletin. It's a good thing that I decided to keep the group there, even though it didn't have a very good start. Lk 18:1-8

Jesus told his disciples a parable
about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.
He said, “There was a judge in a certain town
who neither feared God nor respected any human being.
And a widow in that town used to come to him and say,
‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’
For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought,
‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being,
because this widow keeps bothering me
I shall deliver a just decision for her
lest she finally come and strike me.’”
The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says.
Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones
who call out to him day and night?
Will he be slow to answer them?
I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily.
But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

Praying that the Lord will bring together here to this blog the ones that He has so chosen...that His will may be done.

Just got the following from my homeschooling group and wanted to pass it on since this is not something that we often see coming from the movie industry. Let's pray for Hollywood and all those in the entertainment industry while we are at it.

"The Youth Group went to see this movie last weekend, and it was really, really good. We moms thought it should be required viewing for Catholic teens. It speaks to taking responsibility for your actions, the importance of loving families, respecting the gift of life, what is really important in life, and living a life of caring Christian compassion. We noticed the lead character praying the rosary and wearing a scapular (you had to Catholic and quick to see these) (and it helped that said lead character was dubbed by the girls a "hunk" - ha!) The teens thought it was good also. Please note this isn't for younger kids - we think it got the PG13 rating because there is a tragic death - there were no sex scenes, violence or foul language.

Please support this movie!"

For those in authority

Good, God-Pleasing Prayer (1 Tm 2:3) : A Catholic Reflection: "Paul told Timothy: 'First of all, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for all men, especially for kings and those in authority' (1 Tm 2:1-2). Prayer for those in authority should be our top priority and the first thing the Lord calls us to do. It is 'first of all.'"

Today's prayer is for all in authority...for our president and all the presidential candidates. For all Governors and others in places of power in the government. I pray for our Pope, Bishops and priests...especially for Fr. Ron. I pray for all that are leading ministry groups.
